Infertility is simply the inability or incapability to naturally conceive a child. It’s counted that if a couple is unable to conceive even after having one year of unprotected intercourse the couple may be declared as infertile. There is another concept known as Eecondary infertility E In that case couples faces difficulty in conceiving after already having one child. There are various reasons such as diabetes, thyroid disorders, mumps, hydrocele, some kind of infection, having too much of alcohol or drugs and even too much smoking affecting male fertility. And for female infertility some reasons stays same and in addition we found liver or kidney related diseases, Kallmann syndrome, tubal dysfunction, uterine malformations etc are also responsible.
Age and stress are also two important factors in effcting fertility. Almost 85% to 90% of these infertility problems are treated with simple conventional processes such as simple operations or some drugs. There are several other treatments such as donor insemination where woman is artificially inseminated, fertility medication where medicine like clomifene citrate is used to stimulate ovaries to get the matured egg released.
